Q: Why did you create Entertainer? Multiple Media Centers exists already?
A: I started to work on Entertainer, because I wasn't satisfied by any of
the current media center solutions. I like Windows Media Center, but that
doesn't work under Linux (obviously). Another motive was to learn Python,
since it seems to be a popular and well supported language under Linux.
Q: Does Entertainer support digital TV and recording?
A: Not yet, but this is definately one of the most important goals of the
project.
Q: Which video and audio formats Entertainer supports?
A: Entertainer uses GStreamer as a playback backend. This
means that Entertainer supports all formats that are supported by GStreamer.
Lucky for us, GStreamer supports almost all media formats available.
